‘Type in Tailcoats - Bodoni in Motion’

This is my final hand-in for my Motion Graphics subject at uni exploring ‘Type in Motion’; creating an animated sequence exploring the historical and/or anatomical features of a typeface.
I chose Bodoni (just cos it’s my favourite font….yes I have a favourite) and wanted to use silhouette vectors to explore the social context and the sophisticated nature of the font.
Wasn’t my best work and it was a bitch to get here, but you get the idea.
I didn’t have a chance to add music but if you have an overwhelming desire to hear it with music, play some smooth jazz in the background…preferably ‘So What’ by Miles Davis from 34seconds in… (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEC8nqT6Rrk)

This is the first of a 3 part Motion Graphics project for uni exploring the concept ‘Repetition and Motion’ using the technique of nesting in Adobe After Effects.
Animating this almost gave me a seizure. Proceed with caution.

The other night I went to see one of my favourite bands, Anberlin, for the 3rd time this year. I had anticipated to take more photos however a combination of a heavy mosh and spraining my ankle in a circle pit after the 4th song made that a bit difficult. Despite the searing pain I was in, I stayed and rocked on at the back…was their best concert to date.So worth it

Final 1 - Shot on Canon AE-1 with 3200ISO film This is my latest black and white photography project for my uni degree sub-major; we had to take 2 set of words and match them to 3 photos. Don’t get it? Don’t worry, neither did I until the day of the hand-in where i basically had to whip up all my finals in 2 hours. Shot with a high speed ISO - it is best suited to low light situations as the film is very sensitive to light and you have quite a grainy texture to the prints. This series stars the wonderful Jessie Schattner (blonde) and my quasi little sister Katerina Halkeas.
